KoalaBot was the first team-based project I contributed to, marking a significant step in my development journey. I came across an advert on Discord seeking developers to create a dashboard for a Discord bot called 'KoalaBot'. At the time, I was teaching myself to code and saw this as a valuable opportunity to deepen my understanding of web development and API integration. The project involved repurposing the bot's existing API to build a user-friendly frontend dashboard, enabling server administrators to interact with the bot through a GUI web app rather than relying solely on text commands within Discord.
Following my experience with KoalaBot, I decided to create a custom Discord bot for a server owned by friends in Germany. Inspired by KoalaBot, I aimed to develop an all-in-one bot tailored for personal activities and games. I collaborated with my friends to gather their desired features and implemented various functionalities, such as fetching the latest anime news and titles via an API, logging Discord actions for moderation, creating games to guess flags and countries, and providing a way to check users' League of Legends ranks using another API.
